music freak

so yesterday has been a blast! i went to pulp summer slam world war five (naks, full name) and jp's gig. its been really fun! thank you Lord! luckily, mega came along with me even on a short notice. adventure!! at first, we didn't have any idea where amoranto stadium was, what it looks like! haha here's what happened:

i met up with mega and chukis at mcdo-taft, ate lunch there, tas went to megamall to buy mega's ticket. finally we arrived there. we were following the crowd because we didn't know where the entrance was. haha...grabe, that place's full of people "expressing" their own self. spiky blue and yellow hair, hair that went up above 3 feet? i think, mohawks, piercings on different parts of the face, GUYS wearing MORE make-up than i do, people wearing robes, guys wearing skirts, sort of like the priest's vestments, having this big hole in their ear piercing (you could almost fit a 25c coin through it), mixing stripes and polka dots, floral and printed stars and stripes...and to top it all off, people wearing masks, like those you see in horror movies and those used ata when mining. ..why not??!! (diba mega) if it means being different under the scorching sun ...bala kayo!! and me? I was wearing a lemon yellow shirt while mega had a playboy top. nice..bagay na bagay kami! whaha we thot there were only several of us wearing flipflops..bat ba? haha my ever-trusted umbrella saved us and some guys from getting tan lines in unusual places. haha they came up to us and offered to carry the umbrella! haha there was also a time when after finishing my yosi, i practiced my pitik...haha and it landed on some girl's foot. just imagine the look on her face...really got angry..mega and i couldn't stop laughing even if i was hiding my face by turning my back against her.we even noticed some guys snickering at what they saw... its a good thing the girl didn't see me! haha... sorry about that, i was more of targeting the open spot behind her.

and of course, i could never forget the bouncer talking to me before entering. i can't believe i was considered as a KID...
upon entering:
bouncer (looking at me): nagpaalam ka na ba sa magulang mo?
then i was like, "huh?"
mega (butting in): college na po yan
then all the bouncers laughed!
bouncer added: "kaya nga diba bago umalis ng bahay kailangang magpaalam. o, huwag kayo sa slaman."
sige. dagdag hirit pa e. ...harhar..FUnniiiii.

we got to hear only 11 bands because we had to leave for jp's gig at atrium hotel...tipong under pressure.. as for that gig, mga 21 bands nagplay.. ayos naman..hanep din yung mga tugtog. galing, pero may pagka-hardcore yung iba. laftrip yung pinaka-una..isang line lang kinanta "mamatay ka rin" pa yung line..haha... asan ang verse, refrain at chorus?! haha there was this band that i particularly liked...sang songs from other emo bands..plus may gwapo! hahaa

at halos lahat ng mga intro per song na naririnig ko (sa pulp at sa atrium) "para sa mga babae." or "para sa inlove" uhhhh, whats with?!
